Robotic Infrastructure Modeling

I’m working with Sebastian Scherer and others on an aerial robot that can autonomously build 3D models of large outdoor structures. My contribution to the project is in the robotic hardware, systems integration, path planning, and field testing. The video below shows a recent test of our system where the vehicle autonomously models a train bridge in Pittsburgh, PA.
